Research 		This bill adds a new chapter to the Hawaii statutes on the privacy of health care information. The bill provides for the protection of "protected health information," including genetic information. The bill allows a health care provider, health plan, public health authority, employer, insurer or educational institution to disclose protected health information to health researchers if certain requirements are met, including review of the research by an IRB. Measure failed.
