Major Results from the modENCODE project
The modENCODE project is a four-year effort to build a parts list of all biologically functional elements in the C. elegans and D. melanogaster genomes. In December 2010, the Consortium published two integrative analysis papers evaluating the data from each organism.
Collected here are the major findings, companion papers, discussion, and press coverage this effort.
