The Inter-Society Coordinating Committee (ISCC) held its sixth in-person meeting on January 24, 2017, in Bethesda, Maryland.

The goals of this meeting were to share activities, needs, and interests among member organizations, and learn about opportunities and needs for funding provider education activities.  Seventeen speakers presented their organizations' activities. 

In addition, Heather Junkins, M.S., Program Director, Division of Genomic Medicine, in NHGRI's Division of Genomic Medicine explained existing mechanisms for funding of meetings and training, and lead a discussion among attendees regarding specific needs for funding for provider education activities in genomics.
