As Co-Chief of National Human Genome Research Institute's (NHGRI) Scientific Review Branch, Dr. Ken Nakamura shares the responsibility of overseeing the review of all grant applications and contract proposals that are assigned to the NHGRI Scientific Review Branch. Dr. Nakamura joined NHGRI's Division of Extramural Research (DER) in 1993 as a Scientific Review Officer. Prior to joining NHGRI, Dr. Nakamura worked at Life Technologies, Inc. and Food and Drug Administration's National Center for Toxicological Research. Dr. Nakamura received a B.S. in Chemistry from UC Berkeley, a Ph.D. in Microbial Physiology/Biochemistry from Oregon State University. Dr. Nakamura was a Staff Fellow at Argonne National Laboratory.
