The National Human Genome Research Institute's Genome Sequencing Program Coordinating Center (GSPCC) was funded in 2016 to coordinate activities across the Genome Sequencing Program components.

Overview

The GSPCC has both scientific and administrative activities including:

  • Tracking genome sequencing and analysis costs; data production and deposition; project completion
  • Being a resource for logistics and communication among GSP program participants and collaborators (calls, meetings, minutes, web resources, distributing and archiving working group documents)
  • Coordinating outreach for the GSP, including program webpages
  • Developing specifications for common controls for rare variant association studies
