Candidates must have an MD, DO, PhD*, or equivalent degree. This program does not participate in the MATCH. Our slots are not funded which means that applicants will need to secure a position in the area that will support their participation in the fellowship program prior to applying. Employment should provide a complementary experience to the LGG training specialty and be maintained for the full duration of the two-year program. Government contract employees are not eligible to participate in this program.
Ideally, candidates submitting applications will have had a discussion with someone from the program leadership team. Individuals planning to submit an application should send an email to NHGRI_LGG_Program@mail.nih.gov to obtain access to the application.
