NHGRI’s Training, Diversity and Health Equity Office (TiDHE) develops and supports initiatives that expand opportunities for genomics education and careers; cultivates genomics training programs and workforce development initiatives for individuals underrepresented in biomedical research; and promotes genomics research to improve minority health, reduce health disparities and foster health equity.

NHGRI's commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our Institute to achieve the highest level of genomic innovation, reduce health disparities and foster health equity in areas related to genomics and genomic medicine.

NHGRI articulates goals and objectives to increase the number of individuals from diverse backgrounds in genomics.

The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) provides both institutional and individual funding to promote diversity in the genomics workforce. Our programs offer opportunities at the undergraduate, postbaccalaureate, graduate, postdoctoral and faculty levels.
