NHGRI REEP Town Hall

Event Details

A discussion of NHGRI’s ongoing actions to address racism and to support equity and inclusion.

Agenda

As part of NIH’s work to address structural racism and advance equity and inclusion within its workplace, NIH called upon each IC to create a Racial and Ethnic Equity Plan (REEP). NHGRI’s REEP aims to identify inequities within the Institute. It also provides a framework on how the Institute begins to address “any racial and ethnic disparities and enhance the diversity of [our] workforce.” The REEP is immediately actionable and measurable. It provides a path forward for meaningful change — in a fashion that is unique to our institute.

This town hall will present on NIH’s REEP efforts, introduce NHGRI’s REEP leaders, provide an overview of NHGRI’s rollout plan and detail how to join NHGRI’s REEP efforts. A Q&A will follow.
