Program Directors in all three Divisions/Offices will manage a portfolio of grants, provide scientific expertise and advice to NHGRI leadership, organize scientific workshops, and participate in NHGRI and trans-National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded consortia and working groups.
Candidates for the position in the Division of Genomic Medicine should have expertise in genotype-disease associations, disease risk prediction, ancestrally diverse populations, pharmacogenomics, genomic medicine, genomic variant interpretation and/or clinical implementation.
The Program Director in the Division of Genome Sciences will also be part of the larger Extramural Training Program Team, and will be responsible for developing and implementing extramural training and workforce diversity activities related to basic genomics research, functional genomics and technology development. Candidates should have expertise in multi-omics or other related areas in genomics.
The Program Director in the Office of Genomic Data Science will also provide scientific expertise and support of computational genomics and data science activities across NHGRI, working in collaboration with both Extramural and Intramural Divisions. Candidates should have expertise in computational genomics and data science, as demonstrated by past experience in genomic data analysis, management and sharing.
