NHGRI Data Sharing Governance Committee

The NHGRI Data Sharing Governance Committee is responsible for the activities necessary for the Institute to implement and maintain NIH and NHGRI data sharing policies. These activities include:
 

• Promoting standard data sharing practices and operating procedures across NHGRI.
• Ensuring that NHGRI data sharing practices comply with NIH policies.
• Reviewing requests for exceptions to expectations for data sharing and alternative data sharing plans.
• Managing the regular review and evaluation of the implementation framework, making recommendations to NHGRI leadership as needed, to ensure that practices remain current and connected to NHGRI data sharing policies.
• Providing consultation for policy or practice development.
