Victoriya Volkova, Ph.D.

Dr. Victoriya Volkova is a Scientific Review Officer (SRO) in the NHGRI Scientific Review Branch since 2025. Dr. Volkova was an SRO at the NIH Center for Scientific Review (CSR) in 2020-2024. She managed three CSR study sections: Analytics and Statistics for Population Research panels A and B, and Biostatistical Methods and Research Design. Prior to CSR, Dr. Volkova was an associate professor of epidemiology and mathematical modeling at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University. Her research program was funded by the NIGMS, FDA, USDA NIFA, and Kansas Bioscience Authority. Dr. Volkova received her Ph.D. from Mississippi State University, completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Edinburgh, and served as a research associate at Cornell University.
