A new human “pangenome” reference

NHGRI announces a set of publications on the new human pangenome reference, which provides a more comprehensive view of our DNA blueprint with sequences that far better represents the diversity of the human population. The human pangenome reference incorporates data from more than 47 globally diverse people, with the goal of reaching 350 people by 2024.
