Comparative Sequencing to Understand the Human Genome

Program Rationale

NHGRI convened two working groups in 2003 to help researchers understand the human genome in the context of taxonomic relationships. These working groups have developed a portfolio of comparative sequencing targets based on their respective scientific rationales.
